Clair-Obscur

After the hypnotic journey of “Turning Point” and her explosive collaboration with Marco Simioni, Sukkube plunges us into the shadow and light. Five new electro tracks, where modular synths twist into melodies, and hypnotic drums pulse like a heartbeat by night in a club into the blackness.
This album is the result of several years of research, notably involving a reworking of her latest EP, ‘Turning Point’. She has reworked the melodies to improve them and create a dialogue between them.
Firmly determined to steer clear of computer-based composition.
She wrote and composed during a residency at the Microgroove studio in Toulouse, with guest appearances by Andre Louis Jouan, Masami Komuro and Eric Anglas for the sound mixage and some details.
She wrote and composed all the tracks during a week-long studio residency at Microgroove in Toulouse, with the help of André Louis Jouan (audio director), Masami Komuro (recording engineer) and Éric Anglas (performance coach).
These are recorded and edited clips of a live session at Microgroove studio during the night called "Sound Lab"; this EP and live have been performed at Metronum, Les Inouïs du Printemps de Bourges, and About Blank in Berlin. The next show of this will be in Toulouse for Brüme & Cabane collective nights on function one system. Further research is currently underway into other pieces.
We did a very limited t-shirt and tote bag with Julia Castel and Arman handcrafted edition in serigraphy that you can purchase on bandcamp.

Turning Point

Dark Triggers

They met at Gaswerk for a residency of 1 week, in October 2021. They both started in sound design on modular systems. The "Dark Triggers" EP has been created through 3 big jam sessions where the main patterns were found. During live sessions Sukkube works with a eurorack system and her VCOs are most of the time used without a sequencer and envelopes which results in a huge layer of metallic noises without boundaries, while also utilising a TR-09 for the main rhythm. Sage-S set is full eurorack and he has a powerful sequencer to design an accurate sound and groovy patterns

The River Of Neïd

Neïd is a city built on ancient ruins. Situated from miles and miles underground, the river of Neïd flows around the tower of the rabbit master to throw itself into the black sea of the North West of the city. The ambient temperature of the river diffuses a petroleum jelly textile on its surface that enchants everyone who touches it. The river of Neïd has organisms living in it, it was nourished by the melody of sulfur particles caused by the hydraulic action of the liquid on the rocks
